“Night at the Museum” St. Jude Fundraiser a Big Success!

cwc volo

It was Friday night, April 3, 2015. Costumers With A Cause held their first sponsored fund raising event with the help of Brian Grams at the Volo Auto Museum in Volo, IL.

The purpose of the fundraising event was to raise money for the St. Jude’s Research Hospital, 100% of the proceeds would go toward this cause. Since this was our first event, the people at St. Jude’s thought we should set our goal for the amount of $1000. We are ecstatic to report we not only hit our goal, but we raised over $3000 thanks to those who came out and donated online!

Now, some may not understand just how awesome this is. Brian opened the Museum from 7-9pm, the first time EVER the museum has been open at night solely for this event. For the price of admission ($13.95 for adults, $8.95 for kids, $11.95 for Seniors and Veterans), participants could go through all four buildings of the museum and see some of the most amazing and famous cars from their favorite TV shows and movies! Of course with Costumers With A Cause being there, we added the characters from the TV shows and movies to the scenes which from the feedback we got from the participants was this was a nice change of pace from the other “walks” which are generally held in  a park or stadium with no cool cars or characters.

We also had some very cool raffle prizes donated by our local Country music station US99, by Costumers With A Cause, and even some Handmade Green Lantern and Avenger Pillow Cases which were made and donated by our very own CWC member, Laird C. Dracmor, and some VIP passes by SeaDog Cruises of Chicago!

I hope you can tell by the photos ( taken by  CWC member Chrystine Shelton)  this event was a lot of fun and was definitely super cool!

We are already looking forward to doing this event next year! If you know of any company or businesses who would like to support us in our efforts for fundraising for this event and would be able to donate fund or raffle items for next years fundraiser, please forward their information to Costumers With A Cause.
