We have a lot of phenomenal members who we want to “Spotlight” on to allow you to see a little bit more of who the individual is when they are both inside outside of their costumes. For our first interview we will be sitting with the President of Costumers With A Cause…

We requested fellow members to submit questions they would want Scott to answer for them, these are the questions…

QUESTIONS

Q: WHAT DO YOU LIKE MOST ABOUT  CWC?

A: The whole idea. The interaction with the families at the events, knowing we are doing a good thing and having a fun time doing it. Feeling like we are making a difference.

Q: WHAT DO YOU LIKE LEAST?

A: There isn’t anything I don’t like about CWC, but like most of our members, I work a full time job and I can’t be as active as I would like to be.

Q: HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN DOING THIS?

A: Hmmm.. about 7 years? Charity work I have been doing all my life. I started costuming for charity events about 7 years.

Q: IF YOU HADN’T BEEN BORN IN THIS CENTURY, WHEN AND WHERE WOULD YOU LIKE TO HAVE LIVED?

A: Umm. A long time ago in a Galaxy far far away, lol!

Q: WHO ARE YOUR HEROES?

A: That’s a hard question.  I have always viewed heroes as someone to look up to and aspire to.  I try very hard to be that myself for eveyone, to set the example that people can follow.  Not that I consider myself a hero by any means, but anyone with a capacity for good in their heart can be a hero.

Q: WHO DO YOU HAVE NO RESPECT FOR?

A: I have respect for anyone willing to put others before themselves, without thought to the consequences.   Respect for the bravery that many parents and children have put forth in dealing with many of the debilitating diseases I have seen.  Respect for everyone who shows compassion and support for all that we as a group do.

Q: WHAT  IS YOUR JOB ?

A:  I work for the US Postal Service Full time.  it is a 6 day a week job and many times I work over 50 hours every week, including Saturdays

Q:  HOW HARD DO YOU PUSH YOURSELF?

A:  Depends.  I often feel lazy, tired and drained, mostly from the stress of my job.  I still get to the gym almost every single day to stay in shape and live a healthy life.  I feel my work in the CWC is very important and often times I will focus more on CWC events than anything else.

Q: WHEN ARE YOU COMPLETELY SATISFIED WITH YOUR WORK?

A: At every event and after every event.  The smiles on people’s faces and children’s faces when they meet real superheroes from their imaginations and are able to get pictures with us.  Making a Child’s day is always worth it.

Q: WHAT’S THE MAGIC FORMULA FOR SUCCESS?

A:  Honestly I don’t feel like I am a success.  I just do the best that I can do and leave it at that.  If others feel like I am successful, I can accept that.
